The prettiest one I’ve seen at Ono shi, Hyogo ken, Japan
As you can see, Himeji Castle is still under renovation. It’ll be over next year though.
My aunt and her family visited Japan for a week. Fortunately, it’s sakura (cherry blossoms) season.
Drinking my favourite drink under the cherry blossom trees. What a dream come true!
Ohanami only happens once a year during the peak of sakura (cherry blossoms) season. Everyone gathered to celebrate, sing and dance.
Even though the rain is pouring down,
even when there is thunder and lighting,
in the course of time, the blue sky will return
with not a cloud in sight.
Be a person with such a heart,
one that will go back to being like the blue sky,
no matter what may come.
Another spring season has come and gone! As much as I don’t want it to be over, I don’t have any power to stop it. All we can do is to enjoy, while it lasted. After almost four years of living in Japan I just realized that during sakura (cherry blossom) season, we get so much rain. I actually hated it before until..
Last Saturday when we (my brother, my aunt and her family) decided to tour Himeji castle, it was drizzling. It was fine but there has been strong winds which made it hard to walk. We braced the weather like any valiant samurai (warrior) would do. And there we saw, petals from the sakura (cherry blossom) trees were being blown away which created a very romantic atmosphere for all of us. It was too good to be true. Too real to be a movie prop. As always I want to share my love for Japan to you.
