Today marks the last day of September in Japan. You should actually watch out for the upcoming posts. This October, Candy Kawaii Lover’s theme would be Fashion and Drama. Why? Of course you must be curious, my readers are infinitely curious. First, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo will be starting this 14th of October and next, Tokyo International Film Festival will immediately follow. Easy to understand, right?
Aren’t you excited? My blogger friends and I will all go together this year so I expect lots of fun! I want you all to support Japanese designers. One Japanese blogger I knew wouldn’t go because she doesn’t like their style but if you are JAPANESE, I implore you.. Support your own! I’ve attended Philippine Fashion Week once before I left to support my super model best friend, Daphne, who was part of the show. Like how I want to support the Philippine industry, I want you all to do your part and be there for our beloved Japanese designers. They can’t do it without you. I guess one of the reasons why Japanese fashion bloggers aren’t as successful internationally because the fashion industry isn’t as tight and united. Bloggers do their own thing. Designers do not really support the latter as well. If and if, we could just be one. We will be a strong force. Just look at how Gary Pepper Girl wears Josh Goot or Tuula Vintage for Lover. I admire them, Australians. We could do it too, Japan. Nothing is impossible.
I’ve been in love with films since I went to my university and even joined the theatre guild. My early readers should know! Even though I’ve realized that acting wasn’t for me, it didn’t stop me from supporting the arts. I might loathe watching T.V. shows but I love films. I feel liable to support them. There’s also one Filipino film included so I really have to watch and get a ticket!
The following month will be a blast like September.
This is my favourite photo from this shoot. All thanks to Carey and Recxy of Chic Sensei.
