USJ during New Year’s with Neesa from Malaysia.
By the entrance of Hogsmeade, you can take photos with Hogwarts Express! Usually it’s very crowded in this area but we got lucky!
This is my new friend from Malaysia, Mieko! For those who have been asking if I could meet up with you when you visit Japan, I certainly would love to. Just recently I hung out with Veren from Indonesia as well. Here
‘s her blog post about it.
This is the entrance to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
, one of the two attractions that you can ride in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Osaka. I’ve tried it only once since the first time I’ve visited, it was raining hard and a typhoon was predicted to arrive in Osaka. The second time my friend Emika and I lined up for around 2 hours for this and although the attraction was only for 5 minutes, I must say it’s definitely worth a try! It’s actually my favourite ride in all of USJ. Before this I could only imagine what it was riding a broomstick and now I kinda get to try, it was unbelievably amazing! Until now, I haven’t gotten a chance to take the ride Flight of the Hippogriff
, “a family friendly rollercoaster that swoops and dives past Hagrid’s hut”. Maybe this 2015?
The Green House – we got a chance to have a castle tour since they close the lines for the Forbidden Journey at 2:30 in preparation for New Year’s countdown. Lucky timing for me, I was able to take some photos around without being photobomb-ed (if there’s such term) by thousands of people.
The Three Broomsticks – the favored tavern of Hogwartz students and teachers
Hmm steak and kidney pudding?
Chicken and Ribs Platter served with roasted corn and roasted potatoes cost ¥1980 (around $4 heftier than the price of the one’s in Orlando). If I only have one platter to recommend, it’s this one though! It’s not only very filling but it has that “feel”.
I forgot what’s this but it’s also okay. I’ve also tasted the Freshly Baked Apple Pie (it was not that bad) and the Leek and Potato soup (my favourite).
It could be tormenting not to get butter beer of course.
Since I’ve already tried butter beer for around 4 times in 2014, I just picked the usual plastic cup instead of the souvenir ones. Last summer, they had a frozen variation (similar to Wendy’s frosty) but it was too bland. This winter, they had a warm version but it was way too cinnamon-y and sweet! I like the original flavour, that’s it.
Bless this place, I wanna live here.
There’s a shadow of hedwig (not captured on photo) by the wall. This journey will be continued soon. Aha! I have to show you the bathroom and overall Hogsmeade on my next post!
