May 2016 Favourites

Just sharing my May 2016 Favourites! If you’ve seen my previous posts, you’ll know that I just went to a week long beach trip (Aklan and Antique). Having a natural tan skin is great especially if you invest well in it. I’m using Oh! Baby (body scrub) by House of Rose, a top Japanese brand when it comes to beauty. Thanks to Kaila for bringing it to me all the way from Japan! Whenever you’re exposed in the sun, even if you use sunblock, your skin is at risk. If you can’t avail a scrub in your favourite salon at the moment, a scrub in tub could be your best friend. I even brought mine in Boracay! For an alternative that’s readily available in Manila, I highly suggest The Cream Factory salty scrub. Unlike Oh! Baby that’s purely a salt scrub, it has moisturising ingredients that will keep your skin from drying! For moisturizers, I’m currently using Nivea creme. It’s the best for it’s price. Aside from body scrubs, I also have my Maybelline lippie and BB cream since I can always hide my eyes thru sunglasses but my lips and skin needed some colour and protection from the heat. Special thanks to Maybelline Japan for sending them over. It’s been a year since I’ve moved to the Philippines but they still haven’t forgotten me. So sweet! Aside from my Biore sunscreen (which I’m using daily), I also brought Anessa by Shiseido that I got from Tokyo Beauty Bar. I’m a big fan of Japanese sunscreens since they’re not sticky and fragrance free, those are my requirements for beauty products actually. I’m very sensitive in fragrances so I’m really careful about this. That’s most of my beauty musts for the beach! Oh actually, if you can add a moisturising lip balm with sunscreen, it would be perfect!

Tip for my friends Chichi and Kaye: Use Heroine Make, if you want a lasting beach make-up. Even after snorkelling, swimming and walking under the sun, their eyeliners are always on point. Kaye is also using Maybelline eyeshadow and it stays ’til dinner time. I should stock those product as well!

Hope this post is helpful! Let me know if you have any questions and suggestions!
