Checking in: Ho Chi Minh

Hi guys! Just want to do a quick “checking in” post. We’re here in Vietnam for Tet (Vietnamese New Year) holiday.

Highlands Coffee is said to be the best Vietnamese coffee chain. So lucky we have one near our hotel.Notre-dame Cathedral Basilica of SaigonA trip to the Cu chi tunnel was a heartbreaking experience. Our view from our hotel’s top floorHo Chi Minh is known for their busy streets. I’m looking for a quiet one thoA quick stopover at a souvenir shopA breathing hole Banh mi everyday. The term Banh mi means bread in Vietnamese but it’s usually used as an alternative word for baguette. It was introduced during French colonial period in Vietnam. Similar to the Philippines, Vietnam was also a target of many colonizers. Ho Chi Minh, if without the signs, beautiful flowers and plants, motorcycles, thin buildings, look exactly like Manila. Nonetheless, I’m happy to explore this beautiful country! ❤

Pretty!! I want to visit Vietnam one day as well. I feel like you might enjoy Hanoi more, since it’s a lot less “modern” than Ho Chi Minh 🙂
