Snacks To Try in Japan This Spring

Hi guys! I just got back to Japan last Wednesday with my grandparents  and I’m going to stay here this spring. Imagine my excitement as a big fan of the colour pink, flowers and in general the season of spring. First things first, what snacks to buy?

Upon landing in Kansai International Airport, we dined at Doutor Cafe   (it’s kind of Japan’s local Starbuck’s) and I order honey cafe au lait and sandwich. So good! The next day, I went to a grocery in our neighbourhood to check out their spring items. I want to buy them all! Just a disclaimer, some of the photos shared in this post are my stock photos (I probably took them 2-3 years ago).

IMG_0032KitKat limited edition goods could be easily find at the airport but rarely in a market, grocery or convenience store.

IMG_0033 Country Ma’am chocolate chip cookie is one of my faves but sometimes they would released special edition like this matcha flavoured one. You can also find them at the airport. IMG_0034Sakura / Cherry blossoms sembei (rice crackers) – I totally recommend! IMG_0035Sakura / Cherry blossoms mochi with red beans filling IMG_0037Mt. Please let me know if there are snacks that you want me to add in this list. What else should I eat? Haha nom nom.

The sakura craze is going on too; even McDonalds I think has some sort of sakura-themed drink or ice cream right now! Even the cases of beer in some of my local stores are decorated with sakura blossoms.
