Ataalaya Farmhouse is one of the most beautiful rest house we’ve ever stayed at. It is located in Alitagtag, Batangas, about 2 hour drive from Manila.
It’s one of the first places we’ve visited by the start of the year. We carefully chose Ataalaya because it’s private. They only have 5 rooms in the house and when we stayed there, we were with a couple and they stayed downstairs. So it’s like we rented the second floor of the house.

Before booking, I inquired via Facebook first just to check if they allowed kids, if they have any requirements and if there are checkpoints going there. Their room rate for 2 pax and a child is Php 6800 including breakfast and a guided farm tour if you book at their Facebook page.

When we didn’t know that the zoos are open yet, we booked places like this with farms so Aki could see the animals. He wasn’t afraid at all and he was happy seeing them so that makes me happy too.

This is the bedroom that we got. We weren’t able to use the aircon during the night because it was already cold and breezy.

What I love most about their place is that it’s overlooking Taal Lake and Mt. Maculot. What a majestic view! I would love to wake up with that view every morning.

They have in-house staff as well who are very hospitable. They fixed everything for us.

If you love taking photos like me, you’d definitely love this place! There are a lot of instagrammable spots!

Breakfast with a view! 😍
If Taal heritage tour is already available for kids that would be a good activity first then head to Ataalaya for an overnight stay but for me our little staycation is already perfect. My son enjoyed running around and playing in the tub located at the second floor.
